Child Day Care

Generations’ fully licensed facility provides year-round care for children ages 12 months to 12 years. It offers preschool and afterschool programs.

Designed to promote self-esteem and concentrating on the whole child, Generations uses developmentally appropriate curricula. We promote school readiness through a weekly thematic approach to learning that is rich in activities concentrating on language arts, science, math, art, and music.

We offer morning preschool for children 3-5 years old. Our nationally recognized HighReach Learning program prepares preschoolers for kindergarten using interactive lessons that are fun for the kids. The hands-on nature of the program is balanced with child-initiated, teacher-facilitated activities. Children who are 3 attend the preschool 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. T-Th. Children 4-5 years old attend 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. M-W-F.

Our afterschool program offers additional supervision for children until the parent’s workday concludes. The center’s hours accommodate a 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. workday. Children participate in supervised activities that promote learning. Generations arranges transportation from Belfast/Elk Garden schools through Four County Transit. A small fee is required for that service.

We provide breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack. Our experienced caregivers are certified in CPR and first aid.
