Generations at Cedar Bluff provides preschool, as well as before- and after-school programs, all in an intergenerational atmosphere. Together, children and adults have participated in special activities, including a pen pal program and a celebration of our Appalachian heritage.

Generations integrates the wisdom and insight of the elderly with the energy and enthusiasm of the young. Intergenerational day care offers children the opportunity to take part in carefully selected, supervised activities with senior citizens. It also allows family members to work or take a break from caring for a loved one.

Our skilled staff creates individual care plans for participants. Staff includes a supervisor, activities director, registered nurse, and personal care attendants.

Participants receive recreation, socialization, health monitoring and medication management in a home-like environment. Each day we serve a USDA-approved breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack.

Generations continues to collaborate with the AllCARE for Seniors PACE program. Through this partnership, participants receive socialization, in conjunction with therapy and medical services while they attend day care.

Generations continues to offer training and support sessions to caregivers throughout our service area.
